Today we have replaced the Hdmi port on an xbox series s.
Hdmi port failure is very common among xbox and playstation consoles. When the port has damage the console will turn on but nothing will appear on the screen. Replacing the port is not as straight forward as it sounds, The port is soldered to the motherboard of the xbox and requires a hot air station, microscope and a steady hand to solder each one of the pins individually.
Always remove the Hdmi cable when moving the xbox and also when removing the cable make sure to pull it out straight!
